Legal

Houston has been called the most competitive legal market in the U.S., with Downtown at the epicenter of the industry expansion. The unabated migration of the largest national and international law firms into Downtown to open or expand outposts, is evidence of the strength of Downtown’s legal market.

Law firms are attracted to Downtown by the opportunity to grow their practices on a more global stage, the robust activity and diversified economy. Downtown provides law firms with a broad global offering of clients in energy, healthcare, infrastructure, technology, finance, real estate, and access to major complex multi-billion dollar mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, expansions, bankruptcy, other civil and criminal cases.

Downtown is a natural home for law firms, with the Harris County courts conveniently located nearby and within walking distance of a number of Class A office buildings and leads the region in consistently top-ranked law firms for the company culture, compensation, diversity, deal-making, pro-bono work and Fortune’s The 50 Best Workplaces in Texas.
