Storm recovery update for May 17-18, 2024: To protect the public, HPD will assign officers to Downtown intersections where storm damage is greatest, an area roughly from Walker St. to Clay St. and Smith St. to Fannin St. Road closures and limited pedestrian access will remain until the properties and area are deemed safe. Tomorrow, our crews will be back at work at 7 a.m. removing the remainder of shattered glass and treating an estimated 200 downed or damaged trees and landscape. Before traveling into Downtown, please confirm the event has not been cancelled and your planned route has been cleared.

Weekend Brunch at Tout Suite SODO: A Downtown Houston Gem

Tout Suite SODO is a charming cafe located in the southern part of Downtown Houston's vibrant neighborhood . With its bright and airy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious menu, it's no wonder Tout Suite is a favorite among H-town locals. 

The weekend brunch menu at Tout Suite features a variety of classic and creative dishes, all made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • French Toast: Thick slices of challah bread dipped in a sweet egg batter and then cooked to golden perfection. Served with seasonal fruit and maple syrup.
  • Avocado Toast: A hearty and healthy option made with smashed avocado, radishes, red pepper flakes, and chives on toasted ciabatta bread. You can also add a poached egg for an extra protein boost.
  • Tofu Scramble: A vegan take on the classic breakfast dish, made with tofu, vegetables, and spices. Served with your choice of toast or breakfast potatoes.
  • Huevos Rancheros: Two eggs fried in corn tortillas and topped with ranchero sauce, black beans, and queso fresco.
  • Chicken and Waffles: A Southern classic made with crispy fried chicken and fluffy waffles. Drizzled with maple syrup and served with a side of hot sauce.

In addition to the brunch menu, Tout Suite also offers a variety of wine, ($4 mimosas on the weekend), coffee, tea, and juice options. They also have a selection of pastries and baked goods that are perfect for a sweet treat.

Conveniently located in Trebly Park, meet up with your friends to toast to the weekend, or have a family-friendly day in Downtown while the kiddos burn off their after-brunch energy on Whale Bone Dinner Party, the art installation and playscape. 

Here are a few things to keep in mind when planning your brunch at Tout Suite:

  • Tout Suite is open for brunch Saturday and Sunday's from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. 
  • There is plenty of street parking available in and around the park.
  • Tout Suite has a dog-friendly patio and dog park, so bundle up and feel free to bring your furry friend along. 🐶
