Storm recovery update for May 17-18, 2024: To protect the public, HPD will assign officers to Downtown intersections where storm damage is greatest, an area roughly from Walker St. to Clay St. and Smith St. to Fannin St. Road closures and limited pedestrian access will remain until the properties and area are deemed safe. Tomorrow, our crews will be back at work at 7 a.m. removing the remainder of shattered glass and treating an estimated 200 downed or damaged trees and landscape. Before traveling into Downtown, please confirm the event has not been cancelled and your planned route has been cleared.

Get ready to celebrate spring in Houston with free live music and entertainment because Party on the Plaza is back! This year’s popular concert series will be held every Friday beginning May 3, through May 24, 2024, from 7-9:30 p.m. showcasing a spectacular line up of all-star artists, musicians, and tribute bands. Houston First Corporation is proud to again present this free spring concert series on the Plaza at Avenida Houston, Downtown’s entertainment destination. The range of music is as diverse as Houston, so there’s something for everyone!

In addition to live music, attendees will be able to share their moves on a cool dance floor energized by an array of festive lighting throughout the Plaza. Avenida Houston serves as the gateway to some of the best entertainment and culinary offerings from a variety of restaurants right on the walkable pedestrian plaza. Friends, family and visitors of all ages and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to come together at this fun, outdoor experience and celebrate Houston’s vibrant live music scene.

Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras
This is the latest musical passion project of actor, model and restauranteur, Tom Sandoval. For 11 seasons, Sandoval has starred in the hit Bravo reality series, “Vanderpump Rules.” Sandoval and his ultimate party band play all the hits everyone knows and loves.
